How to Disable JavaScript in Chrome

If you’re looking to disable JavaScript in Chrome, there’s a couple of different ways that you can do it. We’ll run through both of them so that you can choose the method that’s best for you.

Open the Chrome browser.

Click on the “Customize and Control” button. It is located in the upper-right-hand corner of the browser window and has the three horizontal lines icon.

From the drop-down menu that appears, select “Settings.”

At the bottom of the page that appears, click “Show advanced settings.”

Under the “Privacy” section, click on the “Content settings…” button.

Under the JavaScript section, select “Do not allow any site to run JavaScript.”

Click “Done” to save your changes.

Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.

Open the Chrome app on your Android device.
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.
Tap Settings.
Tap Site Settings.
Tap JavaScript.
Turn off the slider next to “Allowed (recommended).”

Select “Settings.”

Click on the Chrome menu icon in the upper-right corner of the browser, and then select “Settings.”
OR
Type “chrome://settings/” into your URL bar and press “Enter.”

Scroll down and tap “Site Settings.”

Next to “JavaScript,” move the slider to the left to turn off or on.

Tap “JavaScript.”

Open the “Settings” app on your Android device. Tap “Site settings.” Tap “JavaScript.” Turn off the toggle switch next to “Allowed.”

Tap the slider to the left to disable JavaScript.

JavaScript is a programming language that runs in your web browser. It can make your page look better, and can make it more interactive. But it can also cause problems, like making your page slow to load. If you’re having problems with a website, you can try disabling JavaScript.

Here’s how to do it in Chrome:

1. Open Chrome on your computer.
2. Tap the menu button in the top-right corner of the screen (it looks like three dots), then tap “Settings.”
3. Tap “Advanced” at the bottom of the screen.
4. In the “Privacy and security” section, tap “Content settings.”
5. Tap “JavaScript.”
6. Tap the slider to the left to disable JavaScript.
